RL3 (regex on steroids) is a rule-based information extraction, named-entity recognition and categorization engine. RL3 is also a programming language intended to simplify implementation, use and support of large libraries of rules and patterns in computational linguistics projects. It is particularly strong in semi-structured and unstructured data processing, named entity extraction, web mining, parsing and categorization tasks.
RL3 features include: based on regular expressions, support huge lookup dictionaries, named patterns, contextual checks, hierarchical annotations, logical rules, includes standard libraries and utilities, interfaces with other programming languages.
RL3 runs on 64-bit Linux systems.
